Free and open to the public. No advanced ticketing or registration is required!

JOIN US in Mae Latta Hall or via Facebook Live for the screening and discussion of this documentary.

Tuesday, August 29 at 3pm and 7pm Central Time

Join us to view this 2017 documentary about David James (DJ) Savarese, a nonspeaking autistic teenager with disabilities who is depicted as communicating through the scientifically discredited facilitated communication technique.

This documentary film shines an inspiring light on the full potential of kids with significant disabilities. Shot over a six-year period, Deej reveals not only what the ideal of full inclusion requires but also what it can accomplish.

First Screening: Tuesday, August 29 at 3:00 p.m. with a live stream discussion from Deej and featured visual artist Em Cooper to follow at 4:00 p.m.

Second Screening: Tuesday, August 29 at 7:00 p.m. followed by a pre-recorded discussion with two of the film's producers.
